This five class set includes yoga and somatic therapeutics for the feet/ankles, knees, hips, pelvis, lower back.
Each class ranges in duration from 45 minutes to an hour.
Class Descriptions:
Lesson 1: Feet and Ankles
In this class, you will learn how to help clients improve balance, proprioception, and prevent falls by taking a holistic approach to the health of the feet and ankles. This lesson addresses common issues such as flat feet, high arches, heel pain, Plantar Fasciitis, and more.
Lesson 2: Knees
Throughout this class focused on knee health, you will become more knowledgeable about the structure of the knee joint in terms of muscles, tendons, and ligaments. This practice can be used in therapeutic applications in order to prevent pain caused by Arthritis.
Lesson 3: Hips
This class featuring tools for hip health delves into the physical issues such as Sciatica, Bursitis, and joint pain. Through an introduction to the psoas muscle, yoga therapists in-training will have a more well-rounded sense of how to improve hip function and reduce discomfort.
Lesson 4: Pelvis
Practices that support women and men’s pelvic floor health are discussed in this in-depth study of the pelvis. By addressing both mobility and stabilization as well as bowel and bladder function, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of this vital area responsible for reproduction and elimination in the human body.
Lesson 5: Lower Back
Lumbar discomforts are some of the most common complaints of clients. In this class, we’ll be showing some of the most effective methods we’ve found for alleviating sciatic, SI, and lumbar vertebra and nerve pain.
