Upper-Body Therapeutics Series On-Demand
This six class set includes yoga and somatic therapeutics for the abdominals, chest/lungs, thoracic spine, upper back, shoulders, and hands/wrists/elbows.
Each class ranges in duration from 45 minutes to an hour.
Class Descriptions:
Lesson 1: Abdomen
Explore the core in this informational session that touches on digestion as well as tone and mobility of the abdomen. This practice features exercises for the multiplicity of functions of this crucial area of the body that houses all of our vital organs.
Lesson 2: Chest and Lungs
Find ease in the breath through this class focused on the lungs and chest. By discovering the power of the Parasympathetic Nervous System and ways to work with chronic issues including Dyspnea, chest pain, and Thoracic Kyphosis, you will build a stronger therapeutic foundation for assisting with client’s breath-related complications.
Lessons 3 and 4: Thoracic Spine and Upper Back (2 classes)
We all have nagging pain in the upper-back. Some of us have it as a chronic or structural issue. Whether working with Thoracic Kyphosis [forward head], upper spinal scoliosis, bone loss, or just habitual misalignment, these exercises will help strengthen and alleviate discomfort.
Lesson 5: Shoulders
It is not uncommon for yoga therapy clients to come to practitioners with complaints of shoulder pain stemming from conditions such as tech neck, frozen shoulders, and more. In this class, students will build a toolbox of practices to address forward head postures, impingements, Bursitis, and discomfort in the shoulder joints.
Lesson 6: Hands, Wrists, and Elbows
In this class, students will gain therapeutic tools to help clients achieve more mobile and stronger hands. These practices can be applied specifically for those with complications in the elbows, wrists, and fingers due to conditions such as Arthritis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and Parkinson's micrographia.
